ROUGH LIKE VELCRO, GREENS LIKE GLASS, AND $20K IN PRIZES AT THE US OPEN.

ROUGH LIKE VELCRO, GREENS LIKE GLASS, AND $20K IN PRIZES AT THE US OPEN.

The USGA doesn’t set up golf courses. It sets up stress tests. This week’s exam is at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Southampton, NY, and GameBlazers has $20,000 in prizes on the line to go along with it.

Shinnecock Hills is one of the oldest and most punishing venues in American golf. The wind off the Peconic Bay doesn’t let up. The fescue rough grabs everything. The USGA dries out the greens until they’re barely holdable and tightens the pins until bogey feels like a win. Par is a trophy at Shinnecock. Every stroke matters—which means every lineup decision you make on GameBlazers matters too.

This is also the third of golf’s four Majors, and our biggest prize pool since the PGA Championship. This week, we’re doing something different: The Tips is out, and all of the cash prizes have been funneled directly into the GB Major, bringing it to a $20,000 prize pool with $1,875 going to first place. The US Open and The Open Championship—coming July 16—each carry a $20,000 prize pool, meaning there’s $65,000 in prizes available over the next five weeks. Don’t leave any of it on the table.

🏆 CONTEST STRUCTURE

  • GB Major — $20,000 prize pool | $1,875 to 1st
  • The Intermediate Tees — $1,670 in packs & credits | Core Pack to 1st–5th
  • The Forward Tees — $500 in credits | 5,800 credits to 1st

📅 CONTEST SCHEDULE

Contests open Monday, June 15 at 5pm ET. Lineups lock at first tee time on Thursday, June 18. Weekly Packs are on sale in the Shop for just $5—one per user, valid this week only.

The Open Championship is four weeks away. Get ready.

US Open Week: The Tips Is Out, the GB Major Is Bigger Than Ever

This week we’re making a change to the contest lineup. For the US Open, The Tips will not be running—instead, all of the cash prizes that would have gone into The Tips have been combined with the GB Major prize pool. The result: the GB Major is now sitting at a $20,000 prize pool with $1,875 going to first place. It’s free to enter, so there’s no reason not to get your lineups in.

Unlike The Masters and the PGA Championship, where the GB Major and The Tips ran at the same time, this week it’s one big cash contest—not two separate ones. The Intermediate Tees and Forward Tees are running as normal.

Lineups lock at first tee time on Thursday, June 18. Good luck.
